What to bring
We provide all the chess gear, no need to bring your dusty attic set.- But if you do have a favourite board, lucky pieces, or a vintage set that smells like your grandparents’ loft—bring it along! Most people do.
Jake: Your Charming Guide to Checkmate
Jake will:
- Pair you with players at your level (no merciless prodigies vs. total beginners)
- Offer tips, guidance, and the occasional pep talk
- Teach absolute novices from scratch—yes, even "which way does this one go?"
- Keep the evening fun, friendly, and full of little victories
